At primary school the teacher asked Hannah what she wanted to be when she grew up. 

"A pop star," Hannah replied. 

The teacher gave her a knowing smile, one of those smiles that means, 'she'll grow out of it.' But she didn't, instead she grew into it.

Inspired by The Spice Girls, the classic image of Posh Spice and with the help of family friend Steve Fearn (Fearns Brass Foundry, Fingers and Fumbs) Hannah set her sights on her dream.

She served the standard apprenticeship in pubs, working mens clubs, garden parties and even pub car parks. Dealt with the fights in the audience, self-destructing mics, the weird locals. 

And it paid off, with the opportunity to work with producer Simon Gogerly on 3 tracks. His advice to work with musicians on her live act changed everything, she put together the band and began gigging extensively in Leicestershire, culminating in a support slot for James Morrison at the Tigers Stadium.

On the back of that she met Ich, who has produced Blue and Atomic Kitten amongst others. He really liked Hannah's demo of Selfish, and so they re-recorded it. The result is the version of Selfish which you can listen to above and which has been featured on BBC Introducing. 

Hannah's music is intelligent, funky, accessible pop, with lyrics that are both personal and inclusive.

Not quite a pop star yet then, but it's certainly in the post.
