Abbey Park Fireworks

On Saturday 6th Novemeber I performed at the Abbey Park Fireworks... I had spent the last couple of weeks trying to decide what to wear, to be warm or to sacrifice warmth in the name of fashion - hmmm. I ended up with a compromise - red skirt and sparkly belt but with tights and a coat... I've put some pictures up so you can see for your self : )

I arrived at 3pm for sound check and we nearly had a disaster as the guard wouldn't let my percussionist in because his wrist band was broken. He thought he was trying to 'blag' his way in - no 'blaggers' aloud. Luckily we managed to sort it out!

My first set was right before the Zingzillas and I have to admit when I was watching them sound check I really had to resist the urge to sing along and dance around like a 5 year old! It was a fantastic atmosphere and a great crowd. I also met The Overtones who were all lovely and I'm really liking their music too - very retro, right up my street. Everyone from BC Leicester were really nice too and they interviewed me for BBC Introducing which should be played next Saturday, yipee!

Thank you to everyone who came to watch and who stayed at the end to see my second set. I enjoyed every minute - even though my feet were absolutely frozen by the end!
